License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Software for personal or commercial use on Linux systems.

You may not:

• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the Software
• Use the Software for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices on the Software

Acceptable Use

You agree to use VTyper only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Software in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Software or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Software
• Use the Software to transmit any malware or harmful code

Third-Party Services

VTyper requires cloud-based Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) services to function. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

We do not control and are not responsible for:

• The availability or accuracy of third-party ASR services
• How third-party services handle your voice data
• Any costs or fees associated with third-party services
• Internet connectivity required for cloud processing

Disclaimer of Warranties

VTyper is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Software will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of transcriptions

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall VTyper or its creators be liable for any damages whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the Software.

This includes but is not limited to damages for loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or any other commercial damages or losses.

Intellectual Property

All title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Software shall remain with VTyper. The Software is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license to use the Software at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever. Upon termination, your right to use the Software will immediately cease.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of the Software after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the primary maintainer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
